I think in that case, as Kazuma pointed out, "feeling old" it's more a philosophical thing. ![]() Other than the narrative and art style, Reborn's a different game under the hood, almost. The entire game balance was effectively given a do-over, with fundamental changes to its systems to account for some of the quirks introduced by remaking it for the PSP. Other than the graphics and a couple of QOL things, even the machine stats are basically the same, you can use a decades-old GameFAQs text file and do just fine.īut you can also say Tactics Ogre Reborn "feels old" too, despite the categorical fact that virtually every number behind it has had a major rethink. ![]() Sometimes a game feels old because it's basically a gussied-up port of a DS game, like this one is. This one's more of a retroactive addition as the full review on Siliconera is from Christmas Day, but I was thinking about it more, and about what makes a game "feel old".
